スウェーデンの女性バンド、デビュー作。
アリス・イン・チェインズとか、
ブラック・サバスとかパンテラとか、ああいう音。
いわゆるモダン・ヘヴィネス。
女性が、しかも北欧で
こういう音楽をやってるというので話題になった。
出来も悪くないけど、 そういった話題がなかったら、
注目されるかというと、 ちょっとキツいんじゃないか。
オリジナルリリースの輸入盤は全10曲、
この国内盤はそれに3曲足した13曲、
現在流通しているリイシュー盤は全15曲で、
曲順も若干かわっているようだ。
評価：★★（悪くないけど、飽きてくる）

Serpentia - Dark Fields of Pain
ＣＤ/ポーランド盤/2003年
ポーランドのメロブラ/メロデス、ファースト。
アルバム2枚リリースして解散したようだ。
ばたばたした、たどたどしい演奏だが、
曲が悪くないので、あんがいあっさりと聴けてしまう。
所詮はマニア向けアイテムだが、
マニアならもっていても損はしないともいえる。

日本だけの発売、というか、
メジャーに所属していたのに、
シングルカットされたのはこれ1曲だけ？
（しかもメジャーをドロップしてからだ）
2と3はカヴァー、4は未発表曲。
ただ、なにかのアルバムのボーナストラックとかになってたような…。
コレクター向けの1枚。

最近、セカンドをリリースして、結局解散している。
非常に病んだ、破滅的な音だ。
ゴブリンのダークな面だけを抽出したかのような…。
音楽としてみたら、単に、退屈。
素直にアンビとして楽しむべきか。

このDVDは「姫のお楽しみ袋」の
チュチュ姫様からいただきました。
ありがとうございます。
メタバカ教教祖のおれさまとしては、
こういった御寄付や御寄進は遠慮せずにいただきますんで、
ここで取り上げて欲しかったらもってきなさい。
ただし、褒めるとは限んないけどね…。
特に、田園調布に住んでる資産家の若い未亡人の方、
いつでもＯＫですから。
米盤でもリージョン・フリー/ＮＴＳＣなので、
国内のDVDプレイヤーで再生可能。
ブルースのソロ・ワークを総括したDVDで、
1枚目には、メイデン在籍時に発表したソロ･アルバム、
「タトゥード・ミリオネア」のツアーと、
メイデンを脱退して結成したバンド、
スカンクワークスのツアーがはいっている。
（もともと単売されていたライヴヴィデオを、セットにしてある）
前者には後にメイデンに加入するヤニック・ガーズが参加、
ブラックモアの影響をうけたアクションでほほえましい。
歌唱的には、ブルースは、ややハイがでていない。
個人的には、このライヴが
いちばん興味深いものだった。
ルックス的には、
スカンクワークスの時がいちばんカッコいい。
スペインでのライヴを収録。
ただ、このライヴをみる限り、
ブルースの技量に他のメンバーがつりあってない感じ。
2枚目はサンパウロでのライヴ。
これはＣＤもリリースされている。
この時期が、メイデンのファンにはいちばんアピールするだろう。
3枚目はヴィデオクリップ集で、
それぞれの曲の冒頭に
ブルースのコメントが収録されている。
このコメントはＯＮ/ＯＦＦ可能なので、
コメントなしのヴィデオクリップ集として楽しめる。
初期のクリップの監督が
ヒプノシスの人だったりしてちょっとびっくり。
（そのわりに出来はイマイチ…＿|￣|○）
ブルースは「おれはミュージシャンだから演技はしない！」
っていう連中とは違って、芝居っ気たっぷりで、楽しそうにやっている。
いちばんのウリは
3枚目におまけではいってる
サムソン時代の映像だろう。
かなり笑えるヴィデオクリップで、
やっぱり、この当時のブルースは
むちゃくちゃ巧かった。
全体的に画質は良くない。
おそらくマスターの問題で、
カネのかかったメイデンと違い、
あきらかに低予算での収録だ。
音声ははやりの5.1CHサラウンドではなく、
リニアPCMの2CHステレオ仕様で、
音楽ファンとしては好感のもてるつくりかただ。
（ＦＵＣＫ、5.1ＣＨサラウンド！）
ただ、音質もあまりよくない。
ヴィデオクリップの音声も、ＣＤと比較すると落ちる感じだ。
熱心なブルースのファン向けアイテムで、
「メイデンっていいよね！」レヴェルの人が
無理して買う必要はないだろう。
